I learned today that a good friend of mine has passed away last night.

I met Bret about 4 years ago at Westside bar and grill, when Esther and
I went there so she could sing Karaoke, Jonny B was the new KJ that
night, and Bret was sitting next to him, ( Bret has been Jonny B's best
friend for many years )

Since meeting him that night, Bret has been a great friend, he hung out
at my computer store many times to eat lunch with me, he has been to
our house for parties, repaired 2 of our gas fireplace's, and converted
our BBQ to natural gas, and even went to my ex wife's house to fix her
fireplace when she put her house up for sale, he was always there
when you needed him! I am a 41 year old guy who has tears in his eyes
as I write this, hard to believe he is gone, some of us knew of his
illness for the past year ( I could be wrong on how long my memory is
foggy at the moment. ) At this time I do not know the details of how he
died, but I do know he was having kidney failure, and has been on meds
for some time now battling it. I have seen him at his best, and in the
last few months at his worst, the sickness was taking a toll on him, not
just with his body, but his spirit also.

I know many people from the Mandarin Palace, Gators, and other
Karaoke bars will miss him.

I will ad more pictures, karaoke recordings of him and more text later.
